The current UK threshold for import fees is £135.00, anything valued over this amount will incur an import fee.

We do not pay import fees for send in controllers, if we are asked to pay a fee your controller will be returned and order cancelled subject to our refund policy. Therefore please value your parcel accordingly.

SHIPPING PROVIDERS

We primarily use Royal Mail for shipping our orders.

Please note that once the shipping service provider marks your order as delivered, Nova Controllers will not be liable for any lost or stolen packages. It is recommended that you track your shipment and make necessary arrangements to ensure safe receipt of your order. If you have any concerns or issues with the delivery of your package, please contact the shipping service provider directly.

VAT CUSTOMS AND DUTY FEES

All controllers are shipped from our address in the UK. You may be responsible for additional fees related to customs duties and import taxes if we ship overseas. It is the customer's responsibility to pay any applicable fees. If customs duties or taxes are not paid and the package is returned to us, we will have to charge you for the cost of reprocessing and reshipping the order.

How to reprogram the rear buttons:

1. Programmable Remapper

Using the PS5 Programmable Remapper:

In order to use the rear back buttons/ paddles, you must first Enter the “programming” mode.

To do this, the following key combination must be held together, as long as possible, until the LED lights up continuously white (about 3 seconds):

L1 + R1 + square + D-pad right

Then you hold the back button/ paddle button and the Controller button you want to map at the same time, until the indicator LED goes out (about 3 seconds) •

After the LED went out, the button/ paddle has been mapped, and you then need to repeat this step to map the other buttons/ paddle buttons.

2. Using Pre-set mode:

Saving Presets:

So that you can quickly switch between different back button mappings on the fly, pre-sets can be saved.

You can save up to 4 Presets.

To do this, the following key combination must be held together, as long as possible, until the LED lights up continuously white (about 3 seconds)

L1 + R1 + triangle + D-pad Right

Then you hold either: X, O, triangle or the square button until the indicator LED stops blinking.

You then need to follow step 1 above to set your back buttons for your preset.

A preset can be saved on each of the four Face buttons mentioned.

For example, you can save a different preset under X, Circle, Square and Triangle.

Switching Presets:

To switch between presets, you will need to hold

L1 + R1 + triangle + D-pad Right, until the LED lights up continuously white (about 3 seconds)

Then you hold either: X, O, triangle or the square button until the indicator LED stops blinking. For example, if you have held down X, you have now chosen the X preset back button mapping, follow the step to change to the Circle, Triangle or Square presets.

When it comes to gaming controller sticks, both Hall Effect and TMR (Tunneling Magnetoresistance) electromagnetic sticks offer advanced technologies designed to improve durability, accuracy, and reduce issues like drift. Here’s a comparison of the two:

**Hall Effect Sticks:**

- **Technology:** Uses Hall effect sensors to measure magnetic fields to detect the position of the stick.

- **Durability:** Highly durable due to the lack of physical contact parts, making them resistant to wear and drift.

- **Accuracy:** Known for high accuracy and consistent performance over time

- **Power Consumption:** Generally consumes more power as it continuously measures magnetic fields

-**Xbox Specific Downside:** The LT trigger magnet will cause the left analog to have a phantom movement when the trigger is pressed, we can only get around this by installing a click trigger Mod.

**TMR Electromagnetic Sticks:**

- **Technology:** Uses Tunneling Magnetoresistance to detect changes in magnetic fields with high sensitivity.

- **Durability:** Contactless design ensures longevity and resistance to wear and drift

- **Accuracy:** Offers greater sensitivity and precision, detecting smaller changes in magnetic fields

- **Power Consumption:** Typically consumes less power, making it more efficient for battery-operated devices

- **Xbox Specific Benefit:** We don't need to install a click trigger Mod with TMR as the aim of the stick is not affected when pressing LT

At Nova Controllers, we are committed to providing you with high-quality products that are free from defects and malfunctions. To ensure your satisfaction, we offer the following warranty protection:

WARRANTY COVERAGE

We offer a standard 6 month warranty from the day of shipping on the following modified parts: Clicky Bumpers, Clicky Face buttons, Triggers and Mechanical Rear Buttons/ Paddle as well as a 3 month Stick drift coverage for standard analogs (Stick drift coverage is only covered on the controller send in service, drift repairs and covered on controllers purchased at Novacontrollers.com).

We offer a life time warranty on Hall Effect sticks / TMR and guarantee you'll be drift free.

The Warranty period can be extended by 6 months by purchasing our Extended Warranty as an add on to your controller purchase.

During the warranty period, if your controller develops a fault/ defect we will either repair, replace or provide a refund of your purchase price (excluding shipping). We will cover all costs for repairing/ replacing your Nova Controller, excluding shipping costs.

For warranty claims within the warranty coverage period, the customer will be responsible for all costs associated with delivering the controller to our facility. Once we receive your product, we will repair or replace it at our discretion.

STICK DRIFT WARRANTY

We also cover Analog Drift / Stick Drift within the same warranty. For both Hall Effect Thumbsticks and regular thumbsticks, stick drift is considered if the thumbstick has a bias of more than 5% on any side. This is because Hall Effect Thumbsticks, like regular thumbsticks, use a traditional centering spring which is found on all standard controllers. Centering springs do not always have a perfect center due to their physical design. They tend to have a slight bias in each direction after the thumbstick is moved.

When installing Hall effect sticks we calibrate these to the center while also calibrating the circularity test, the circularity test is not perfect and results can vary from controller to controller, example a SC*F controller has a larger accent ring and turning circle than a standard controller due to the SC*F faceplate shell having larger holes for the sticks, therefore when installing Hall effect sticks or TMR on SC*F controllers the range of circularity may be higher. Also with some versions of Hall effect or TMR stick you may no longer be able to remap the L3 or R3 buttons on your SC*F therefore this cannot be claimed as a fault.

Circularity can range from as low as 4.00% to anywhere up to 18% per stick. This is not a defect. 

PS5 TOUCHPAD & DPAD

Furthermore the modifications we do can affect the touch/ tracking functionality of the PS5 dual sense touchpad. Additionally on some versions of PS5 controller the LED can be seen to shine through when the controller is tilted. The input of the touchpad when being pressed is not affected. This therefore cannot be claimed as a warranty fault.

The modifications we do can affect the feel of the DPAD, in some instances the DPAD may feel firmer than normal. The input of the DPAD when being pressed is not affected. This therefore cannot be claimed as a warranty fault.

HAPTIC FEEDBACK/ TRIGGERS

Additionally when we are installing Clicky trigger mods, in xbox series controllers the trigger magnets are removed, in PS5 controllers the haptic feedback will not work post modification, this is the same when we are installing a PS5 remap chip in 030/ 040 and 050 controllers.

PLEASE NOTE:

• Your warranty will be void if the controller seal has been damaged, peeled, removed, or tampered with in any way. Warranty is void when there are signs that the controller has been opened in any way.
• Our warranty is only covered by the parts that were modified and installed by Nova Controllers.
• Our warranty does not cover the following issues and will need to be reviewed by tech support:
  • Normal wear and tear, which refers to the natural deterioration of parts due to normal use and aging or dirt/ dust build up, including but not limited to face button input issues.
  • Damage due to blunt force or fall damage.
  • Liquid or fire damage
  • Outer shell damage
  • Charging/lithium ion battery issues
  • Connectivity issues
  • The warranty does not cover damage resulting from the use of goods for commercial purposes related to business operations.
• Finally, please note that our controllers are hand-made by our Nova technicians. As a result, there may be slight differences per controller.

REPAIRS AND REPLACEMENTS

Repairs and replacements will be free of charge within the warranty period. However, shipping charges will apply.

The customer will be responsible for all shipping costs relating to the delivery of warranty claims to and from our facilities.
